Jordan Jonas, a contestant on Alone Season 6 and winner of Season 8, tragically lost his daughter in 2016. His daughter, Aria, was just 20 months old when she passed away suddenly from a rare medical condition called myoclonic epilepsy. After her death, Jordan withdrew from society, spending much of his time alone in the wilderness. He eventually decided to compete on Alone Season 6 as a way to challenge himself and heal from his loss. In the end, he lasted 77 days alone in the Arctic and won the competition. Jordan has since become an advocate for wilderness therapy and has even founded his own wilderness therapy program for grieving families called Echoes of Aria.
